Molly Taft is a freelance journalist. They recently served as a contributing editor at The New Republic, and were a staff writer reporting on climate, tech, and Big Oil at Gizmodo's Earther blog. Taft's work has also appeared in The Intercept, Buzzfeed, VICE, Teen Vogue, and The Center for Public Integrity. They won a 2023 SEAL Environmental Award for their work at Earther. Taft earned a master's in journalism from Columbia University, where they were a Stabile investigative fellow. She is based in New York.
