ICE detained 2 firefighters as they were actively battling the Bear Gulch wildfire on Wednesday. It’s only the latest cruel abduction out of thousands taking place across the country.
ICE has been all over the country abducting teens as they walk their dog, ripping mothers away from their children, brutalizing landscapers who have lived in the U.S. for three decades, and deporting a grandfather attempting to replace his green card after losing his wallet.
They have been relentless, cold-hearted, and cruel. Now they’re jeopardizing public safety.

Oregon is the site of the largest wildfire in the American Northwest. Firefighters are working tirelessly to douse the flames before they reach homes and endanger lives.
ICE detained 2 firefighters
A crew of firefighters actively working to contain the Bear Gulch wildfire in Oregon had surprise visitors on Wednesday.
ICE.
ICE agents detained 2 firefighters in the crew and refused to give fellow crew members an opportunity to say goodbye.
They removed firefighters from the scene of an active wildfire. They held up the rest of the crew for three hours afterwards to check documentation—three hours they could have been battling a raging wildfire.
One of the other firefighters said ICE was targeting Native Americans—because, you know, brown skin—and when one of them asked to say goodbye to a firefighter detained in an ICE vehicle, the agent told him, “You need to get the f**k outta here,” otherwise he would “make him leave.”
Although told to stop recording, the incident was caught on video
From MSNBC reporting by Chris Hayes:
“According to reporting from The Seattle Times, one of the firefighters told the men they were not allowed to take video of the incident. “You risked your life out here to save the community,” that firefighter told the Times. “This is how they treat us.”
Another firefighter told the paper that “they were denied the chance to say goodbye to the detained crew members.”
“I asked them if his (family) can say goodbye to him because they’re family, and they’re just ripping them away,” the firefighter said. “And this is what he said, ‘You need to get the [blank] out of here. I’m gonna make you leave.’”
As the Times notes, “It is unusual for federal border agents to make arrests during the fighting of an active fire, especially in a remote area.” Earlier this year, Donald Trump rescinded a Biden-era policy that barred immigration enforcement at so-called sensitive locations, which applied to natural disasters.”
It appears Trump, JD Vance, Stephen Miller and their ilk are willing to burn the country to the ground if that’s what it takes, all so they can rule over the ashes.
